Meeting: Special Meeting of the Local Redevelopment Authority Item: 1. REUSE PARCEL 18 AT FORMER MCAS TUSTIN Discussion of progress on the development of Reuse Parcel 18 [County of Orange (County) Regional Park] and consideration of possible actions by the City Council acting as the Federally recognized Local Reuse Authority (LRA) for former Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Tustin. eComment: I'm not sure what the County's struggle is, they don't have the capacity to build and operate a Regional Park anymore, the roof collapsed and the County pretty much threw their hands up saying not our problem anymore. Someone in Supervisor Don Wagner's office suggested the county "just wants some skin in the game" and then they'll walk away from the parcel....what? You are a government agency working for the people, this is not an unincorporated island you can play with, this is within the City of Tustin and if the County doesn't have any intentions of building a Regional Park it should get out of the way and let the City and it's residents decide what to do now. It's been about 14 years since Tustin residents started moving into the Legacy and "Parcel 18" is the most unkept, ugliest parcel in the entire development.... With all of that said I think it's time for the County to hit the road and would support the City to file suit if they don't. -Tustin Resident View and Analyze eComments This email was sent from https://aranicusideas.com Unsubscribe from future mailings
