Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council/Closed Session at 5:00 pm/Regular Meeting at 6:30 pm Item: PUBLIC INPUT—At this time, any member of the public may address the Council on matters which are not on this evening's agenda, provided the matter is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. eComment: Hello Mayor Clark and Tustin City Council, my name is Brandon Martinez, I am a 20- year resident of Tustin, and I am writing in support of Community Choice Energy. Climate change is here in Orange County, and residents appreciate that the City has dedicated time to exploring ways the community can mitigate a rise in temperatures locally through cleaner, cheaper energy emissions. CCE has successfully provided residents in Los Angeles, Ventura, and San Diego Counties electricity higher renewable-energy portfolios than Southern California Edison and reinvested the money back into clean-energy and clean-infrastructure projects, all at competitive rates. The Clean Power Alliance in San Diego is already an operative CCE authority willing to incorporate Tustin into its project, so if the City has any concerns about viability, please explore a relationship with CPA. I look forward to learning more about the City's intents to explore CCE and hearing about the follow-up action the City took.
