CONSENT CALENDAR: None REGULAR BUSINESS: 1. DESIGN REVIEW (DR) 2022-0027 APPLICANT: PROPERTY OWNER: DEBORA IVEY OLD TOWN TUSTIN PROPERTIES SOUTHWEST SIGN COMPANY A WYOMING LIMITED LIABILITY CO. ON BEHALF OF TACO MESITA, LLC P.O. BOX 3831 1852 POMONA ROAD TUSTIN, CA 92781 CORONA, CA 92878 LOCATION: 765 EL CAMINO REAL ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: This project is Categorically Exempt(Class 11)pursuant Section 15311 of the California Environmental Quality Act. REQUEST: A request to install two (2) closed line, wall-mounted neon signs with a stainless-steel background, approximately 20 square feet, on the west and east elevations of an existing restaurant building located at 765 EI Camino Real. RECOMMENDATION: That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action (ZAA) No. 22-010 approving DR 2022-0027 to authorize the installation of two (2) closed line, wall- mounted neon signs, approximately 20 square feet on the west and east elevations of the building located at 765 EI Camino Real. The ZA opened the Regular Business Item #1 at 10:00 a.m. Jara provided a Power Point presentation. Zoning Administrator Agenda December 15, 2022 Page 2 The ZA commented on the sign design being appropriate for the building and she also asked when the restaurant would be opening. Hurtado confirmed no public input was received on the item. Mr. Jack Fovell, Southwest Sign Company, and the business owner, Mr. Nicolas Calderon, were present at the meeting. The owner stated he was hoping the restaurant would be opening end of 2022. The ZA asked both the applicant and property owner if they had read the staff report and conditions of approval and if they were in agreement with them. The owner stated they had no objections. The ZA adopted ZAA 22-010, as presented. PUBLIC HEARING: None. ADJOURNMENT: 10:07 a.m. The date of the next meeting of the Zoning Administrator will be scheduled when items are set for hearing.
