Returns Federal Funds to local communities
Funds assist in providing:
Adequate housing
■ Suitable living environments
Expanding economic opportunities
Anticipated Tustin allocation for Program Year 2024-25: $750,000
Activities funded by CDBG must meet at least one of the three National
Objectives:
Must benefit Low and/or Moderate Income (LMI) persons
Must address slum or blight conditions
Must meet urgent community development needs
To participate in the CDBG Program the City is required to prepare:
■ Consolidated Plan: Five-year planning document
■ Action Plan: Annual planning document implementing Consolidated Plan goals
■ To hold two public hearings annually during preparation of the
Action Plan
March 5, 2024 - The City Council held the first required public hearing and
recommended continued funding for year two of the three-year non-profit
funding cycle to all existing non-profit subrecipients based on available
funding.

New CDBG Program Year Begins
Three (3) verbal comments were received during the March 5t" Public
Hearing from non -profits speaking in favor of their programs.
The Draft Action Plan was made available for public review for 30 days
beginning March 14, 2024, and ending on April 12, 2024.
There were no public comments received at the conclusion of the Action Plan
review period.
That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 24-23:
1. Approving the Program Year (PY) 2024-25 Action Plan and funding allocations
totaling approximately $750,000; authorize submission of the PY 2024-25 Action
Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and,
2. Authorizing the Community Development Department to enter contracts with CDBG
subrecipients for public services, non-public services, and fair housing services.
