HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 97-04 1 RESOLUTION NO. 97-04 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 TUSTIN, CERTIFYING THE FINAL NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS ADEQUATE FOR COMPREHENSIVE AMENDMENTS TO THE 4 CITY'S SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE INCLUDING REQUIRED FINDINGS PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL. 5 QUALITY ACT. 6 7 The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows: 8 9' I0 The City Council finds and determines as follows: 10 A°. The request to approve comprehensive amendments to the City's Subdivision Ordinance is considered "a 11 project" pursuant to the terms of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). 12 13 B. A Negative Declaration has been 'prepared for this project and has been distributed for public review. 14 15 C. Whereas, the Planning Commission.and City Council of the City of Tustin have considered evidence 16 presented by the Community Developmen~ Director and other interested parties with respect to the 17 subject Negative Declaration. 18 D. The Planning Commission and City CoUncil. have evaluated the proposed final Negative Declaration 19 and determined that the project is regulatory in nature and'therefore, would not have a significant 20 - effect on the environment. When individual applications are submitted for consideration, 21 independent environmental review will occur. 22 IIo A Final Negative Declaration has been completed in 23 compliance with CEQA and state guidelines.
