Currently houses the Orange County Sheriff's Regional Training Academy
(OCSRTA).
OCSRTA began in 1955 on the Katella Avenue property in the City of Orange
In 1959 California formed the Commission on Peace Officer Training — provides
minimum standards for California law enforcement
Services were dispersed for decades and building this facility at this location
represents the culmination of this relationship
There have been over 5,000 graduates and 260 classes from the inception of the
partnership and over 3,100 and 80 classes since the opening of the OCSRTA
facility — providing services to over 62 agencies in the last 24 years ranging from
other college and university police forces to city and county law enforcement
Construction started in 2005 and the building was dedicated in September of 2007
