CONTINUANCE REQUEST FOR CODE AMENDMENT (CA) 2024-0007 SUMMARY: The Community Development Department requests a continuance of Code Amendment 2024-0007 to Establish Multifamily and Mixed-Use Objective Design Agenda— Planning Commission Meeting —January 28, 2025— Page 3 Standards (ODS) to the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting on February 25, 2025. The continuation is needed to allow further review and refinement to the draft ODS document. RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission continue the public hearing for Code Amendment(CA) 2024-0007 (Ordinance No. 1562) to the February 25, 2025, Planning Commission meeting. 3. REQUEST: A request for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow the operation of a Skilled Nursing Facility (Specialty Hospital) within existing and vacant medical buildings totaling approximately 89,000 square feet. The use would accommodate 121 patients and offer skilled nursing and supportive care, including 24-hour inpatient care (dietary, pharmaceutical services and activity programs). RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission approve Resolution No. 4519 approving CUP 2024- 0018, for the establishment and operation of a Skilled Nursing Facility (Specialty Hospital) licensed through the California Department of Public Health, pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 5.
