City Council:
I'm writing to object to waiving the in -lieu affordable housing fee for "The Jessup". They had
an agreement with the city at the time of construction and it should not retroactively change
because of future policies.
Additionally, the in -lieu fee is embarrassingly low. As a developer, if I can choose to not build
two full units (with a market value in the low seven figures) but instead pay a one-time fee of
289k, I'd always choose the cash option. It's not even close.
