Subject: Feedback regarding plans to refund the Jessup's in -lieu fee
Dear city council,
I am a local resident writing to oppose the council's plans to return the Jessup's in -lieu fee, which would cost the
city nearly $300,000 in funds meant to be spent on developing affordable housing. Plans to waive these fees in Old
Town and Red Hill were made well after the Jessup paid them, and they should not be retroactively applied. These
units have already been constructed and sold, and returning money to the developer does not benefit the city or the
people who live and pay taxes here.
