eComment: Dear Citizen Participation Committee, City Staff and Consultants, and City Council
Members, Families Forward would like to express our gratitude for the time, care, and attention
the Committee, Staff, and Council have given the CDBG applications for the 25-26 funding year
and the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan. Families Forward has been a grateful recipient of Tustin's
CDBG funding since 2020. In all subsequent years, utilizing CDBG funds, our housing programs
have exceeded our deliverables and served Tustin Families by providing rental assistance, case
management, and supportive services. Across all programs and services, Families Forward was
able to serve a total of 180 Tustin Families, equaling 678 residents. In addition to the work of our
Rapid Rehousing program, Families Forward continues to strengthen our partnership with the
City of Tustin through the development of our Affordable Housing Community, Tustin Heritage;
Where we will soon be able to offer 8 families a safe, affordable, and permanent housing
solution, along with case management and supportive services that will enable our clients to
create lasting change for their family. Again, we want to express our sincere thanks for the City's
partnership and continued support in pursuing Families Forward's mission of seeing an "Orange
County where every family has a home and the opportunity to thrive." In partnership, Lauren
