Item: 11. CONSIDERATION TO RENAME THE CITY OF TUSTIN CORPORATE YARD TO THE
LOU BONE TUSTIN CORPORATE YARD Consideration of a request from Mayor Austin
Lumbard to recognize former Mayor Lucien "Lou" Bone by renaming the City of Tustin Corporate
Yard, located at 1472 Service Road, to The Lou Bone Tustin Corporate Yard and
commemorating the honor with the placement of a plaque near the main entrance of the
building.
eComment: My name is Christine Uribe and I highly support naming the Tustin Corporate Yard
after Mayor Lou Bone because of his many years of actively serving our community, first as a
volunteer and then as an elected official. Lou has been credited for vital improvements in our
community including bringing a train station to Tustin, very early development of Tustin Legacy,
and support for maintaining our city in ways most of us still take for granted. This would be a well
deserved memorial recognition for a man who loved Tustin deeply and made a difference. Tustin
