Item: 11. CONSIDERATION TO RENAME THE CITY OF TUSTIN CORPORATE YARD TO THE
LOU BONE TUSTIN CORPORATE YARD Consideration of a request from Mayor Austin
Lumbard to recognize former Mayor Lucien "Lou" Bone by renaming the City of Tustin Corporate
Yard, located at 1472 Service Road, to The Lou Bone Tustin Corporate Yard and
commemorating the honor with the placement of a plaque near the main entrance of the
building.
eComment: I strongly urge the council to support the renaming of the Corporate Yard to the Lou
Bone Tustin Corporate Yard. Lou Bone was a dedicated public servant and gave his heart and
soul to improving Tustin. In addition to his service as a councilman and mayor, I think of all of the
smaller, behind the scene things that he did. Before we had a city graffiti removal, we had Lou.
One call to him and it was taken care of. Shopping carts were everywhere until Lou pushed to
get those off the streets. While we lived in Tustin Meadows, the train horns at the Red Hill
crossing were unbearable, until Lou helped make it a Quiet Zone. He was an outstanding
Chamber Leader and the list goes on.... Please give Lou this honor. Sincerely, Donna Marsh
