SUBJECT: RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN ALTERNATIVE LOCATION AND TIME FOR
THE AUGUST 19, 2025, REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
SUMMARY
The City Council plans to convene as the Federally -designated Local Reuse Authority
for the Former Marine Corps Air Station, Tustin on August 19, 2025. To encourage
nearby residents, businesses and local agencies to participate and engage in that
meeting, proposed Resolution 25-42 would change the location and the times of the
City Council's meeting on that day to the following location and times:
Location: Assembly Conference Room at 1715 Flight Way, Tustin, CA
Date: August 19, 2025
Time: Closed Session: 4:30 p.m.
Open Session: 5:00 p.m.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt attached Resolution 25-42
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING AN ALTERNATIVE LOCATION AND
TIMES FOR THE AUGUST 19, 2025, REGULAR MEETING OF THE
TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL, AND THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL ACTING AS
THE FEDERALLY DESIGNATED LOCAL REUSE AUTHORITY FOR
FORMER MARINE CORPS AIR STATION TUSTIN.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct fiscal impact from changing the location and time of the City Council's
Regular Meeting on August 19, 2025.

CORRELATION TO THE STRATEGIC PLAN:
Adoption of Resolution 25-42 enhances City Council and public participation in
fulfillment of the City's Strategic Plan Goal A: Economic and Neighborhood
Development.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Pursuant to Tustin City Code section 1301, regular meetings of the City Council are
ordinarily held in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way, Tustin on the first and
third Tuesdays of each month. However, section 1301 also provides that an
alternative time or location for a regular meeting and/or a closed session may be
approved by City Council Resolution approved at least seven (7) calendar days prior
to the meeting date.
The August 19, 2025, regular meeting of the City Council will focus primarily on
matters within the jurisdiction of the Council acting in its capacity as the Local Reuse
Authority for the form MCAS Tustin. In light of the focused topic, the meeting will be
conducted at a location in Tustin Legacy to encourage participation and engagement
by nearby interested residents, businesses and local agencies.
Adoption of attached Resolution 25-42 sets the location and time of the August 19,
2025 meeting to the following:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING AN ALTERNATIVE LOCATION AND TIMES FOR
THE AUGUST 19, 2025 REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
AND THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL ACTING AS THE FEDERALLY DESIGNATED
LOCAL REUSE AUTHORITY FOR FORMER MARINE CORPS AIR STATION
TUSTIN
WHEREAS, pursuant to Tustin City Code section 1301, Regular meetings of the
City Council are ordinarily held in the Council Chambers, Tustin City Hall, 300
Centennial Way, Tustin, California;
WHEREAS, Tustin City Code section 1301 provides that an alternative time or
location for a regular meeting and/or closed session may be approved by City Council
Resolution approved at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the meeting date;
WHEREAS, the Tustin City Council and the Tustin City Council acting in its
capacity as the Federally designated Local Reuse Authority for the former Marine Corps
Air Station Tustin desire to convene the August 19, 2025, regular meeting at a location
at the former Marine Corps Air Station to encourage participation and engagement in
that meeting by nearby interested residents, businesses and local agencies.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The August 19, 2025, regular meeting of the Tustin City Council, and
the City Council acting as the Federally designated Local Reuse Authority for the former
Marine Corps Air Station Tustin, shall occur at the following location and times:
Location: Assembly Conference Room at 1715 Flight Way, Tustin, CA
Date: August 19, 2025
Time: Closed Session: 4:30 p.m.
Open Session: 5:00 p.m.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin at a regular
meeting on this 15th day of July, 2025.
