A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION
AND COMPENSATION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF TUSTIN
AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT AMENDMENT TO
THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE TUSTIN POLICE
SUPPORT SERVICES ASSOCIATION, CONCERNING
ARTICLE 12. FLEXIBLE BENEFITS PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized and directed, under the provisions of
the City of Tustin Personnel Rules and Regulations, Resolution No. 88-103, the
preparation of a Classification and Compensation plan for all employees in the
municipal service of the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 88-103 requires that amendments or revisions to the
compensation plan be approved by Resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS I the City of Tustin, hereinafter referred to as "City" and the Tustin
Police Support Services Association, hereinafter referred to as "TPSSA", have met and
conferred in good faith in accordance with the requirements of the Meyers-Milias-Brown
Act; and
WHEREAS, the City and TPSSA have reached agreement on an amendment to
Article 12 of the TPSSA Memorandum of Understanding effective January 1 , 2007
through June 30, 2007 as more particularly set forth in the attached Contract
Amendment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin, California does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The contract amendment, effective January 1, 2007, is hereby
approved and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A" as though fully set forth
herein and staff is authorized to amend the City's classification and compensation plans
accordingly.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin City Council held on
the 2nd day of January, 2007.
