Comprised of the OC Sheriff's Regional Training Academy building, outdoor training areas, parking and a Public Safety Institute building. SANTA ANA COLLEGE 4 Community College District Site is currently developed to 80% of it's original concept - approximately 12 acres have been developed and -3.25 acres remain undeveloped. Given the new challenges facing law enforcement and first responders, new facility improvement concepts have emerged and are being considered for the undeveloped -3.25 acres of property. 1 SANTA ANA COLLEGE 5 Mkd Community College District The District and Santa Ana College completed a feasibility study to explore the best educational use of the undeveloped portion of the site which may include: • Public Safety Institute • Biddle (physical agility) test preparation • Fitness and skills assessment area, Strength Et Conditioning, Et Running Track • Wellness facilities • Instructional classrooms/labs in support of the academy • Cyber Security Training • Disaster/Critical Incident Preparedness/Response Criminal Justice Academies received Educational Center Status approval from the State Chancellor's office making funding available to the site. The District continues to explore additional funding opportunities through its partners and available grants for these highly needed programs that serve the community, cities and Orange County.
