HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 96-1071 2 3 4 RESOLUTION NO. 96-107 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA CONCERNING THE STATUS OF THE CIRCULATION 6 ELEMENT FOR THE CITY OF 'TUSTIN 7 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires to maintain and improve the streets within its jurisdiction, including those arterials contained in the Master Plan of Anex~ Highways 8 (MPAH; and 9 ~l WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has endorsed a definition of and a process for, 10 determining consistency of the City's Traffic Circulation Plan with the MPAH; and 11 WHEREAS, the City has adopted a General Plan Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the MPAH within its jurisdiction; and 12 WHF-REAS, the City is required to adopt a resolution every even numbered year 13 informing the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) that the City's Circulation Element is in conf0rmance with the Master Plan of Arterial Highways and whether any 14 changes to any arterial highways of said Circulation Element have been adopted by the City during Fiscal Years 1994-95 and 1995-96; and 15 WItEREAS, the City is required to send every even year to the Orange County 16 Transportation Authority all recommend changes to the City's Circulation Element and the Master Plan of Arterial Highways for the purpose of requalifying for participation in the 17 Arterial Highway Financing Program and Measure M's Streets and Roads Programs. 18 NOW, TItERF~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Tustin, does hereby 19 inform the Orange County Transportation Authority that; ' 20 a) The arterial highway portion of the City Circulation Element of the City is in conformance with the Mas. ter Plan of Arterial Highways. 21 b) The City attests that no unilateral reduction in through lanes has been made on any 22 MPAH arterials during Fiscal Years 1994-95 and 1995-96. :>,3 c) The City has adopted a uniform sethack ordinance providing for the preservation of rights-of-way consistent with the MPAH arterial'highway classification. 24 d) The City has' adopted provisions for the limitation of acc~s to arterial highways in 25 'order to protect the integrity of the system. 26 27 I 2 PASSEn AND ADOFrEI~ at a regul_ax meeting of the City Counc~ of the City of Tustin held on the 21st day of October, 1996. 3 · 6 7 ATTEST: 8 10 ~erk 11 12 13 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 25 26 27 City of Tustin RESOLUTION CERTIFICATION STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ss CITY OF TUSTIN ) RESOLUTION NO. 96-107 PamelaStoker, City Clerk and ex-officio Clerk ofthe City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does hereby certify that the whole number of the members of the City Council is five; that the above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 21st day of October, 1996, by the following vote: COUNCILMEMBER AYES: Worley, Thomas, Doyle, Potts, Saltarelli COUNCILMEMBER NOES: None COUNCILMEMBER ABSTAINED: None COUNCILMEMBER ABSENT: None ela Stoker, City Clerk
