VISION STATEMENT To have a safe and connected Tustin, we will remain proactive in our community partnerships with innovative thinking, employee development, self- discipline and legitimate leadership VALUE STATEMENT Partnership Respect Innovation Dedication Excellence Community Engagement & Trust 1.1 Expand community engagement initiatives through active collaboration with external partners and stakeholders, including TEAM, the Chief's Advisory Board, and other community organizations 1.2Strengthen partnership with local business through safety training and technology standards 1.3 Promote youth safety with expanded DUI prevention and e-bike safety programs 1.4 Conduct CERT training and host annual emergency preparedness drills 1.5 Launch department website enhancements, including events calendar to promote visibility Crime Reduction & Public Safety 2.1 Reorganize Area Command to reduce response times and improve frontline operations 2.2 Increase and reallocate staffing to match current service needs 2.3 Deploy a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement detail 2.4 Secure DUI enforcement funding to reduce impaired driving Organizational Excellence & Accountability 3.1 Implement Lexipol to maintain up-to-date, standardized policy management 3.2 Update space needs assessment and prepare for growth of 175+ police personnel 3.3 Explore options for a modern police facility tied to the City's Legacy Core vision, that will meet operational needs and provide space for advanced training 3.4 Upgrade internal facilities including locker rooms, second floor offices, and Department Operations Center Workforce Development & Wellness 4.1 Implement a wellness initiative that incorporates nutrition guidance, meal -planning services, and other incentives to support the overall health of personnel 4.2 Support mental and emotional wellness with a facility dog initiative 4.3 Develop a leadership succession development program 4.4 Enhance department training by utilizing subject matter experts as facilitators Technology & Innovation 5.1 Implement new CAD/RMS systems to improve operations and data management 5.2 Explore Al tools for report writing and operational optimization 5.3 Upgrade body -worn cameras and the use -of -force training simulator 5.4 Launch online police reporting for better community service delivery 5.5 Establish a Real -Time Information Center, including funding for surveillance systems, that integrates with OCSD's Real -Time Operations Center to enhance crime prevention and response countywide 5.6 Acquire a drone/crisis negotiation team vehicle, a mobile command post, and modernize the department fleet TOM-rit4 Thank you
