SUBJECT:PUBLIC ART COMMISSION APPOINTMENT
SUMMARY:
City Council approval is required for the Mayor’s Public Art Commission appointment.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve theMayor’s appointment of Kristi Martinto the Public Art Commission.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
CORRELATION TO THE STRATEGIC PLAN:
City Commission appointments contribute to the fulfillment of the City’s Strategic Plan
Goal D. Strong Community and Regional Relationships by promoting leadership
opportunities within the community on City Commissions.
BACKGROUNDAND DISCUSSION:
On October 21, 2025, Meg Gullo was appointed to the Planning Commission creating a
vacancy on the Public Art Commission forthe remainder ofhertermthrough July 17,
2026.
On October 29, 2025, the City Clerk solicited applicationsto fill this vacancy;at the close
of the application period, a total of seven applications were received.
The Mayor has appointedKristi Martinto the vacant Public ArtCommission position,
subject to approval by the City Council. The Mayor has requested that this item be placed
on the agenda to approve the appointment.
