RESOLUTION NO. 85-43
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN INITIATING THE FORMATION OF A LANDSCAPE
AND LIGHTING DISTRICT UNDER THE LANDSCAPING AND
LIGHTING ACT OF 1972.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Tustin, California to provide landscaping and street lighting to all areas
of the City of Tustin; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the residents of the City of
Tustin that the City of Tustin undertake the responsibility for the operation
and maintenance of landscaping and street lighting in the City of Tustin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council .of the City
iof Tustin that'
i 1. It is proposed to form an Assessment District pursuant to the
Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972 (22500 et seq. Street and
Highways Code of the State of California). The boundaries of
the proposed District are: a) Myford Road to centerline; b)
Irvine Boulevard to north street right-of-way; c) Browning
Avenue to centerline and, d) Santa Ana Freeway to north
right-of-way.

It is proposed to install, operate, and maintain street
lighting, landscaping, and park areas within the proposed
Assessment Di stri ct.

The proposed Assessment District shall be known as the
:'Tustin Landscape and Lighting District".

The Public Works Director/City Engineer is hereby ordered and
directed to prepare and file a report in accordance with the
provisions of Section 22565 of the Street and Highways Code of
the State of California.
The foregoing Resolution was approved and adopted at a meeting
of the Tustin City Council held on May 6, 1985.
