Item: PUBLIC INPUT - Members of the public may provide comments in writing, in person or in
real time via Zoom to address the City Council on items on the Closed Session Agenda.
eComment: My name is Chelsea Parlett. I've lived in Tustin for the last 9 years and I'm a
member of Vibrant Neighborhoods Tustin. I'm writing to ask the council to fund the creation of an
Active Transportation Plan for the city of Tustin. I appreciate the work that the city has been
doing downtown to make the streets more walkable and bike -able and I want to see that
progress expanded to a city-wide network so that I can use other modes of transportation to get
around. I recently purchased a bike but I don't feel safe riding it on many streets around Tustin,
and I am often forced to use my car when I'd much prefer other options. We should join our
neighboring cities of Santa Ana, North Tustin, Costa Mesa, and Irvine and develop an Active
Transportation Plan to connect our city to the regional network. Thanks for your consideration
