Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council/Special Closed Session-5:00 pm/Regular Meeting- 6:00 pm Item: PUBLIC INPUT - Members of the public may provide comments in writing, in person or in real time via Zoom to address the City Council on items on the Closed Session Agenda. eComment: My only issue with the ordinance is the sidewalk speed limits. If there is no one around, then you should be able to go a bit faster. There are other requirements in the Code to yield to pedestrians, so when there is a pedestrian they can pass slowly, then speed up afterwards. Also, 5mph can be wobbly for someone riding. You maintain better balance by going at speed, so this may present some risks. I would highly recommend enforcing a yield to pedestrians standard on sidewalks and not having a speed limit.
