RESOLUTION NO. 82-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE CLASSIFICATION, COMPENSATION,
AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT OF NON-ADMINISTRATIVE AND NON-
MANAGEMENT SWORN POLICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
WHEREAS, the City management representatives have met and conferred
with the representatives of the Tustin Police Employees Association on
behalf of the non-management and non-administrative sworn Police personnel;
and,
WHEREAS, the Meet and Confer sessions have resulted in an agreement
and understanding pertaining to the subject of wages, benefits and condi-
tions of employment for the non-administrative and non-management police
employees of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City now desires to provide salary increases and
changes in benefits to said police employees of the City of Tustin;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1' Compensation Pro.visions' For the 1982-83 fiscal year
eXi'Sting "'sa'l'ary ranges and ra"tes of all non-administrative and non-
management sworn police employees shall be increased by five percent (5%)
effective the first pay period of fiscal year 1982-83, and by four
percent (4%) effective the first pay period of calendar year 1983.
Each employee assigned to said cl'assifications upon the..above mentioned
dates shall receive a salary at the step at which the employee is then
serving.
Secti.on~ 2' General Leave' For the 1982-83 fiscal year general leave
accrual rathe's' f~r all non-administrative and non-management sworn
police employees shall be increased in accordance with the following
formula, effective the first pay period of fiscal year 1982-83.

Section 3' Court. P,as Provisions. For the 1982-83 fiscal year court pay
s'ha'l'l provide' a" minimum of one-(l) hour of pay. for employees who are
required to appear in court in connection with City Business for an
afternoon (P.M. hours) session during their off-duty hours.
Section 4' Educational Incentive Pas° For the 1982-83 fiscal year
Educationa'l" Incentive Pay Pla'n s'hall provid-e benefits according to the
following schedule.

Section 5' Administrative R.egulations. The City Manager is authorized
to"'i'ss'de'written' admin'~Strative personnel regulations designed to augment
or clarify the provisions of this Resolution.
Section 6: Personnel Rules and Regulations. The Tustin Personnel Rules
and 'Regb'lat'ion's"~'r-~ hereby- ame'nded in all 'particulars covered by this
resolution as necessary to effect conformity with the Memorandum of
Understanding between the City of Tustin and the Tustin Police Employees
Association covering fiscal year 82-83.
Section 7' Effective Date. Unless otherwise specified to the contrary
i~' t'hi's-'Re'solu~i~n all provisions shall be effective as of June 28, 1982.
PASSED AND APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meetilng of the City Council
of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 21st day of June,. 1982.
