HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 81-13510 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTICN NO. 81-135 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION TO COLONEL BENNIE H. MANN, USMC WHEREAS, Colonel BENNIE H. MANN on December 23, 1981 will relinquish command of the MCAS (H) Tustin and will retire from the U.S. Marine Corps cn January 1, 1982 after a distinguished career spanning 31 years of service to God, Country and Community; and WHEREAS, Colonel Mann as Co~a~anding Officer of MCAS (H) has demonstrated his humanitarianism and ~oncern for others by his personal support and participation in activities related to the welfare of all segments of society including Navy Relief, Boy Scouts of America, institutions of homeless children, aid to the blind, famil~ assistance to military personnel and their dependents, and senior citizen activities; and WHEREAS, Bennie Mann has been a friend to all - generously contributing his time and talent to commnnity organizations and activities, and inviting the community to share in the activities of the military base; WHEREAS, Colonel Mann has exemplified the highest standards of coi~unity relations by building a bond between the City of Tustin and MCAS (H) whereby they are a unified entity pledged to the mutual support of each other to assure that the City is a most desirable place to live and that MCAS (H) is a most desirable duty assignment; and WHEREAS, Colonel Mann's participation and relationship with the total co~nity reflects pride upon himself and credit to the military 'forces of the United States; NCW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby offer its oo~endation and appreciation to Colonel B~IE H. MANN, on the occasion of the change of co,re%and ar~ his retirement from active duty, for a job well done, along with Dest wishes for a long and happy life of continued service to the community.
