A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING CHARLES R. THAYER
FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, Charles has served in the capacity of Interim City Manager
during the period of time from June 1, 1981, to August 31, 1981; and
WHEREAS, during this period of time, Charles Thayer has guided the
City through the transition from the Administrator/Council to the Manager/
Council form of government in a smooth and efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, Charles Thayer has devoted much time and effort to the
execution of the duties of his office and has accrued a long list of accom-
plishments; and
WHEREAS, these accomplishments include the initiation of an employee
suggestion procedure, a feeling of team effort and spirit which has helped to
improve employee morale, improved communication and efficiency at staff meet-
ings and the development of a building modification plan to-better utilize the
City Hall space,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Tustin, California, hereby recognizes, commends and extends its appreciation
to Charles R. Thayer for his outstanding service to the community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, on the 8th day of September, 1981.
