HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 80-0698 18 8O RESOLUTION NO. 80-69 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE CLASSIFICATION, COMPENSATION AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT OF CITY NON-ADMINISTRATIVE AND NON- MANAGEMENT GENERAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN. WHEREAS, the City and employee representatives have been negotiating in good faith to reach an agreement to provide certain classes of City employees with changes in employment benefits pursuant to Government Code Section 3500 et seq_.; and, WHEREAS, the City management'representatives have met and conferred with the Orange County Employees Association on behalf of all the non- administrative and non-mana§ement general employees of the City; and, WHEREAS, Orange County Employees Association and City of'Tustin have reached and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding; and, WHEREAS, City now 'desires to provide changes in the benefits to all non-administrative and non-manage~nent general employees of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Counci 1 does hereby resolve as follows: of the City of Tustin, Cal i forni a, Section l- Compensation and Benefits Provisions. The City shall increase the existing salary range and rates of all non-administrative and non-managem'ent general employees by ten and one-half percent (10.5%) to the monthly salary levels enumerated by employee position below, effective the pay peri od beginning June 30, 1980: CLASS NO. Section 2: Overtime Compensation. City shall pay all non-admini- Strative and non-management general employees time and one-half premium pay for all approved overtime hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and forty (40.) hours per week commencing June 30, 1980. General Leave and Holiday hours shall be included within the above hours for eli- gibility provided, however, that standby time shall not be considered in determining entitlement to premium pay. Section 3' EmPlOyee Life Insurance. City shall provide life in- surance on the life of each regular, permanent full-time, non-administrative, non-management general employee of the City of Tustin and pay annual pre- mium theredf". The death benefit of said policy shall be one hundred per- cent (100%) of the employee's base annual salary to the nearest multiple of I' $1,000. O0 .... .! Section 4: Medical/Health Benefits. City shall provide a medical/ healt-h--b6ne'fif p~6gram for~i~-he b6nefit of each employee enumerated in this Resolution and their dependents, if applicable. City shall contribute to the funding of said program one hundred percent (100%) of the contribution for an employee without dependents or of an enployee with dependents who elects not to have said dependents covered, and shall pay ninety percent (90%) of the contribution toward the funding of said program of any general employee with dependents when the employee elects to cover. City Administrator may authorize special ad]u~tme'nt~' to Jvoi~-Or eliminate inequities resulting from the strict application of any provisions of this Resolution. B. Administrative ._Regulations. The City Administrator is authorized to issue written administrative personnel regulations designed to augment or clarify the provisions of this Resolution 'RFSOLUTI ON NO. 80-69 PAGE 3 Section 7' Effective Date.
