HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 80-0596 8 lO 3.2 15 16 3.8 20 25 26 ~8 ~0 RESOLUTI ON NO. 80-59 a RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS AND SCHEDULING A HEARING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "SAN JUAN-GREEN VALLEY ANNEXATION NO. 110 (REVISED)" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN. WHEREAS, the City Council of Tusfin, by Resolfuion No. 80-9, adopted on February 4, 1980 commenced proceedings and requested the Local Agency Formation Commission fo consider the proposed annexation of certain territory fo the city of Tusfin, and WHEREAS, said territory is an inhabited area designated as the "San Juan-Green Valley Annexation No. 110 (Revised)" as more fully described by the map shown as Exhibit 1, attached hereto and aparf hereof, and WHEREAS, the proposed annexation is for the purpose of providing full municipal services fo an urbanized area that is remote from county ser- vice facilities thereby i. ncreasing the economy and efficiency of urban services, and WHEREAS, f'he Local Agency Formation Commi.ssion on June 11, 1980 determined that ' ae C. d. ee f · The proposed annexation is categorically exempt from CEQA; The proposed annexation is a logical extension of the city's boundar i es; The City of Tustin shall pay all expenses incurred in conducting and completing proceedings for the proposed annexation; A waiver is granted for the remaining island territory pursuant fo Section 35150(e) of the AAunicipal Organization Act of 1977; The annexation would not be effective pursuant fo AB8 until such time as the exchange of property fax revenues are negotiated between fhe City and County; and The City Council of Tusfin is designated as the conducting authority and directed fo initiate annexation proceedings. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, City of Tusfin, Cali- fornia' That a public hearing on the proposed San Juan-Green Valley Annexation No. 110 (Revised) will be conducted'on July 21, 1980 at 7'30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 300 Cenfennial Way, Tustin. · That any owner of land within the territory or any registered voter residing within the territory may file a written protest against the annexation with the City Clerk of Tustin at any time prior fo the con- clusion of the City Council hearing on the proposed annexation. · That the City Clerk shall' cause notice of the hearing on fh'e' proposed annexation fo be given as required by law.
