Home My WebLink AboutCC RES 79-08818 2O £5 29 RESOLUTION 79-88 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PROTESTS HEARING The City Council of the City' of R~stin, California, does hereby resolve as follows- le Pursuant to the provisions of the C~vernment Code of the State of California, application was made to the Local Agency Formation Commission by pro- perty owners within the subject territory (John Swint) to annex to the City of Tustin all that territory situated in the County of Orange, State of California, designated "Main Street-Freeway Annexation No. 97 (revised) described in Exhibit A" attached hereto, and in.~orporated herein by this reference as though set forth herein in full. 0 The Local Agenci7 Formation Comnission, in session duly assembled, on November 14, 1979, did find that the annexatioil was categorically exempt from C.E.Q.A., approved said annexation proposal, and designated the City of Tustin as the conducting authority for annexa- tion proceedings. e That said territory is inhabited and proposed for annexa- tion to the City of Tustin by reason of the contiguity to and identification with the City of Tustin and for the purpose of receiving full city services. 4. That the City of Tustin s.hall be liable for and pay all proper expenses incurred in conducting proceedings for the annexation. . Notice is hereby given that on the 19th day of December, 1979, at the hour of 5 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, the City Council, at a special meeting, will hold a hearing on the proposed annexation. Any regis- tered voter or any c~nner of land within the proposed annexa- tion area may file a written protest with the City Clerk at any time up until the close of the City Council ~nnexa- tion hearing on Decen.~)er 19, 1979. e The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, mail copies to the executive officer of the ~1 Agency Fonmation Conmtission, chief petitioners, Board of Supervisors, and such others as entitled to notice by law; and cause the same to be published in the Tustin News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and pub- lished in the City of Tustin~ County of Orange, State of California, once a week for the two (2) weeks prior to. the hearing.
