HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 78-1314 10 11 12 18 14 15 17 18 19 20 21 80 81 RESOLUTION NO. 78-131 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN AUTHORIZING THE MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN CASH FUNDS WITHIN THE CITY FOR THE EFFICIENT CONDUCT OF BUSINESS WHEREAS, it is necessary to maintain certain cash funds within City departments for the efficient and expeditious conduct of City business- and WHEREAS, it is appropriate to authorize such cash funds through an official act of the City Council for proper audit and. control of said City funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the following cash funds are hereby authorized to be used and maintained by the City Administrator in the amount and for the purpose so specified. 1. Change Fund - $200.00. A fund to be used at the central cash register for the purpose of making change and other related uses. Responsible Official-Finance Director. 2. Finance Petty Cash Fund - $250.00. A revolving fund to be used in Finance for the purpose of making purchases or reimbursing employees for properly authorized expenses, primarily under $25.00. Responsible Official-Finance Director. 3. Police Petty Cash Fund - $250.00. A revolving .. fund to be used in the Police Department for .. the purpose of making purchases or reimbursing employees for properly authorized expenses, primarily under $25.00. Responsible Official- Chief of Police. 4. Investigation Expense Fund - $500.00. A revolving fund to be used in the Police Depart- ment for expenses involved in investigations and other Police work which for security reasons are best handled outside the regular City Warrant and Petty Cash systems. Responsible Official-Chief of Police. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 18th day of December , 1978.
