RESOLUTION NO. 78 -118
A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN ORDERING AND DIRECTING DIS-
POSITION BY SALE OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
The City Council of the City of Tustin resolves and orders as follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, duly adopted
Resolution No. 78-90, a Resolution of Intention to Sell a building formerly
located on 2nd Street in the old Civic Center, but presently located at 14702
North Prospect Avenue, Tustin.
7.. In Resolution No. 78-90 a public hearing was set, said Resolution
was published and copies of the Notices of said hearing were duly posted along
the property on which said building is located and each and all of the afore --
said Notices were duly given, published and posted more than ten (10) days
prior to the date of said public hearing.
3. On the 5th day of September, 1978 at 7:30 PIM, the City Council
held the said public hearing and has found as follows:
a. That the property is not needed for any present or prospective
public use, and is therefore excess and surplus.
b. That the public interest and convenience require the sale of
said building.
c. That the building to be sold is unnecessary for any present or
prospective public purposes.
d. The subject property to be sold has a reasonble and fair market
value of $25,000.00.
4. That any person who wishes to make an offer to purchase the said
building may do so by submitting to City at or before the time for submissions
of proposals an offer in writing in the form attached as Exhibit "A" accom-
panied by a cashier's check in the sum of $5,000.00 payable to the City of
Tustin.
S. That the minimum, base bid shall be $20,000.00. Final sale shall
be subject to the normal sales provisions as prepared by the City Attorney.
6. That the City of Tustin shall reserve the right to refuse all bids.
7. That proposals shall be submitted no later than 10:00 AM on
December 7, 1978, to the City Clerk's Office, at which time the staff shall
open and review the proposals.
8. That a hearing is set for December 18, 1978, at 7:30 Piet in the
Council Chambers of the City of Tustin at Tustin City Center, 300 Centennial
Way, Tustin, California, at which time and place the City Council shall pass
upon any and all proposals and accept such offer as it deems in the best
interest of the City of Tustin.
9. That a copy of this resolution shall be published once in the
Tustin News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of
Tustin, California, and once in The Register, a daily newspaper published in
the County of Orange, and outside of the City of Tustin, California. The
aforesaid publications shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the
date of said public hearing. Prior to said public hearing, copies of this
resolution shall be posted for not less than ten (10) days in at least three
(3) conspicuous places upon the aforesaid real property.
