RESOLUTION NO. 78-97
A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN ORDERING AND DIRECTING DISPO-
SITION BY SALE OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA.
The City Council of the City of Tustin resolves and orders as follows:
1. The City Council of the City of Tustin~ California, duly adopted
Resolution No. ~7.8.79~_, a Resolution of Intention to Sell a building Located on 2nd
Street in the old Civic Center.
2. In Resolution No. 78-90 a public hearing was set, said Resolution was
published and copies of the Notices of said hearing were duly posted along the
property on which said building is located and each and all of the aforesaid Notices
were duly given, published and posted more than ten (10) days prior to the date of
said public hearing.
3. On the 5th day of September , 1978, at 7'30 ~ p.m., the City
Council be'id the said public hearing and has found as follows:
a. That the property is not needed for any present or prospective
public use, and is therefore excess and surplus.
b. That the public interest and convenience require the sale of said

c. That the building to be sold is unnecessaryfor any present or
prospective public purposes.
The subject property to be sold has a reasonable and fair market
value of $ 25,000.00.
~. That any person who wishes to make an offer to purchase the said
=..,,~:'~,z.:na" -rnay do so by submitting to City at or before the time for submissions oi
proposals an offer in writing in the form attached as Exhibit "A" accompanied by a
cas,,:_r's check in the sum of $5~000.00 payable to the City of Tustin.
5. That the minimum, base bid shall be $2_4~00,00- Final sale shall be
subject ~o the normal sales provisions as prepared by the City Attorney.
6. That the City of Tustin Shall reserve the right to refuse all bids.
7. That proposals shall be submitted no later than 10'00 a.m. on
S~. ~ 18~::~ 1978, to the City Clerk's Office, at which time the staff shall open
and review the proposals.
8. That a hearing is set for Sept. 18 , 1978, at~__7'30.~_ P .m. inthe
Council Chambers of the City of Tustin at Tustin City Center, Centennial at Main~
Tustin, California, at which time and place the City Council shall pass upon any
and all proposals and accept such offer as it deems in the best interest of the City
of Tustin.

9. That a copy of this resolution shall be published once in the Tustin
News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of Tustin,
California, and once in The Register, a daily newspaper published in the County of
Orange~ and outside of the City of Tustin~California. The aforesaid publications

shall be made not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said public hearing.
Prior to said public hearing~ copies of this resolution shall be posted for not less
than ten (10) days in at last three (3) conspicuous places upon the a£oresaid real
property.
10. The City Clerk is hereby ordered to have recorded in the office of the
Recorder of the County of Orange, a certified copy of this resolution and order.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin, at a
regular meeting held on the 5th day of Sept. 1978.
