HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 78-37RESOLUTION NO. 78-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 78-1 OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE TUSTIN AREA GENERAL PLAN. The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve 1. The City Council finds and determines: a. That Sect ion 65356.1 of the.Government Code of the State of California provides that when it is deemed to be in the public interest, the legislative body .may amend a part of the General Plan. That, in accordance with Section 65356 of the Gov- ernment Code of the State of California, a public hearing was duly advertised and held on February 21, 1978 and March 6, 1978, on the application of property owners within the area as initiated by Santa Ana First Federal Savings to consider General Plan Amendment 78-1 to reclassify the properties located on the east side of Red Hill Avenue, north of Mitchell Avenue from single family residential to professional office use. b. That an initial environmental study was prepared and a negative declaration of environmental impact was granted by the Community Development Director.' c. That the highest and best use of the land would be for professional offices of not more than two stories in height. d. That the change in classification would be in the public interest and not detrimental to the welfare of the public or the surrounding property owners. 2. The City Council hereby approves General Plan Amendment 78-1 to reclassify the subject properties (attached hereto in Exhibit "A") from Residential to the Professional Classification subject to the conditions of Planning Agency Resolution No. 1719. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 6th day of March, 1978. MAYOR ~ ..................
