HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1140 (1994) ] ORDINANCE NO. 1140 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 3 OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING SLEEPING IN PARKED VEHICLES 4 5 The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does hereby ordain as follows: 6 Section 1. 7 Section 5346 is hereby added to Part 4, Chapter 3, of Article 8 5 of the Tustin City Code to read as follows: '=' 9 5346 SLEEPING IN PARKED VEHICLES 10 It is hereby declared unlawful for any person to sleep in any vehicle parked in any ]] place in the City between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. of the next day. Nothing 12 in this section shall be construed to or shall prohibit the use of campers, motor coaches, or ]3 motor vans for sleeping purposes where the same are parked in an authorized trailer court ]4 or camp site within the City. ]5 Section 2. Severability. ]6 If any sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the ]7 decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ]8 Ordinance. The City Council of the City of Tustin hereby declare that they would have adopted this Ordinance, and each section, 19 subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, 20 subsections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions thereof be declared invalid or unconstitutional. 2] PASSED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council 22 for the City of Tustin on this 6th day of Sept., , 1994. 24 THOMAS R.
