AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
5 THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING SECTION 1513 OF THE TUSTIN
4 CITY CODE RELATIVE TO THE
APPOINTMENT AND TERMS OF MEMBERS OF
5 THE PLANNING COMMISSION.

The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby
7 ordain as follows:
8 Section 1513 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:

"Section 1513-. APPOINTMENT AND TERMS

Members of t=he =Planning Commission shall be
11 appoi'nted by the City Council. The terms of
office shall be for two (2) years ending on
12 the third Monday in Februa'ry of odd-numbered
years after 1989. All .members of the
13 Commission shal.1 serve at the pleasure of the
City CounCil and may be removed upon motion
14 of the City Council adopted by at least three
(3) affirmative votes. All members of the
15 Commission shall serve until their respective
successors are ~appointed and qualified. A
16 member of the 'Planning Commission shall
automatically be deemed removed from office
1'7 upon filing for or announcing his or her
candidacy for any elective office or upon the
18 occur'rence of three (3.) successive unexcused '-
absences from Planning Commission meetings or
19 upon-more than five (5) absences within any
six (6) consecutive months."

21 PASSSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin, California, held on the
22 6th day of February , 1989.
