HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 787A (1978) 1 ORDINANCE NO. 787-A 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT ~ OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF 4 TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY 5 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1978-79. The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as follows: Section 1: That it is hereby determined and declared by the City 8 Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of $6,331,044 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised in order to carry on the various departments 9 of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1978-79. 10 Section 2: That of said sum of $6,331,044, it is anticipated that there will be received, as income from various sources other than through 11 property tax levy, the sum of $5,781,044 and that it will be necessary to raise the sum of $550,000 by tax levy upon the property within the City of 1Z Tustin. 13 Section 3: That in addition to said sum, the sum of $118,430 is the revenue necessary to be raised to meet the debt service expense of the 14 1971 Park Bonds and that it will be necessary to raise that sum by separate tax levy upon the property within the City of Tustin. !5 Section 4: That in addition to said sum, the sum of $89,200 is the 16 revenue necessary to be raised to meet the debt service expense of the Civic Center Bonds and that it will be necessary to raise that sum by separate tax !7 levy upon the property within the City of Tustin. ~ 18 Section 5: Of the amount budgeted for street construction and ~ traffic signals, $683,700 will be paid from the Special Gas Tax Funds, 19 $218,900 from the City General Fund, and $308,000 from other sources. Section 6: Of the amount budgeted for the repair and maintenance of City streets, traffic signals, and traffic signs, $171,000 will be paid from Special Gas Tax Funds, $135,000 from the Traffic Safety Fund, and $100,000 from the City Beautification Fund. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held on the 18th day of September, 1978.
