HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 787 (1978) ORDINANCE NO. 787 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1978-79. The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as follows: Section l: That it is hereby determined and declared by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of $6,331,044 is the amount of revenue necessary to be rarsed in order to carry on the various departments of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1978-79. Section 2: That of said sum of $6,331,044 it is anticipated that there will be received, as income from various sources other than through property tax levy, the sum of $5,781,O44 and that it will be necessary to raise the sum of $550,000 by tax levy upon the property within the City of Tustin. Sect;on 3: That in addition to said sum, the sum of $118,430 is the revenue necessary to be raised to meet the debt service expense of the ~971 Park ~omds and that it will be necessary to raise that sum by separate tax levy u~e~ the property within the City of Tustin. Se.z~ 4: That in addition to said sum, the sum of $89,200 is the revenue ne:essary to be raised to meet the debt service expense of the Civic Center Bonds 3n~ tha~ it will be necessary to raise that sum by separate tax evy upoD ~ke property within the City of Tustin. ~=--~;o~ 5: Of the amount budgeted for street construction and traffic si;~a~s, $683,700 will be paid from the Special Gas Tax Funds, $2~8,900 from :he City General Fund, and $308,800 from other sources. Section 6: Of the amount budgeted for the repair and maintenance of City streets, traffic signals, and traffic signs, $171,OOO will be paid from Special Gas Tax Funds, $135,000 from the Traffic Safety Fund, an~ $100,O00 from the City Beautification Fund. Section 7: That the City Council hereby finds and determines that the enactment of this Ordinance as an emergency, urgency measure is require~;~ for the preservation of public health and welfare, and this Ordinance sha~ go into effect immediately upon.adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held on the 5th day of September, 1978.
