HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 733 (1977) 329 ORDINANCE NO. 733 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE RELATIVE TO PARKING I RDQUIREMENTS FOR RESIDENTIAL USE. 3 The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, 8oes ordain that 4 the Tustin City Code be amended as follows: -~ ~ 1. Section 9225 a 2(i) is hereby amended to read as follows: 6 "(i) Off-street P~king: Two (2) spaces per dwelling unit~ one V (1) of which shall be garage spa~e"; 8 2. Section 9225 b l(i) is hereby amended to read as follows: 9 "(i) Off-street Park/rig: Two (2) spaces per dwelling unit, one 10 (1) of which shall be garage space"; 11 3. Section 9226 a 1 (i) is hereby amended to read as follows: 12 "(i) Off-street Parking: TWo (2) spaces per dwelling unit, one 15 (1) of which shall be garage space"; 14 4. Section 9226 a 2(i) is hereby amended to read as follows: 15 "(i) Off-street Parking: Two (2) parking spaces per dwelling 16 unit;" __ 17 5. Section 9226 b 3(i) is hereby amended to read as follows: 18 "(i) Off-street Parking: 19 One (1) parking space for each four (4) roon~ in hotel; ~0 One (1) parking space for each'two (2) guests in boarding or rooming houses; One (1) parking space for' each motel unit; Parking requirements for Senior Citizen Housing Projects, ~4 to include acccmodations for tenants, guests, and service employees, shall be determined as a condition of the Use Permit approving the project." 6. Section 9228 c 7 is hereby amended to read as follows: ~8 "(c) 7. Two (2) parking spaces per dwelling unit, of which one (1) such soace shall be a garage or a ceh~port of at least 10' x 20' net · " clear space for each dwelling unit, provided that parking space may be 31 allowed upon obtaining a use permit. The Planning Ccranission may prescribe the anu~t of parking for uses not listed herein." 330 i 7. The definition of "Garage, Private" in Section 9297 is hereby ~ amended to read as follcws: ~ "Garage, Private" means adetached, accessory building, or a 4 portion of a main b~lding on the same' lot as a dwelling, used primarily 5 for the housing of vehicles of the occupant' of the dwelling, having a roof 6 and enclosed on at least three (3) sides, with the fourth side b~ng a V lockable door, with not less than 10' x 20' clear and unobstructed inside 8 dimansions, and which sb~]] be permanently maintained as a parking ac- 9 c~,~dation." 10 8. The definition of "Parking Space" in Section 9297 is hereby' 11 amended to read as follows: 1Z "Parking Space" means accessible and useable space on a building 15 site, at least 9' x 20', for open parking and 10' x 20' clear and unobstructed 14 inside dimensions for covered parking, located off the street and'for 15 the parking of automobiles. bbt less than-two (2) parking spaces per · 6 dwell ~g unit shall be provided and permanently maintained as parking lV acc~u~dation, one of which msut be covered.
