AN ORDINANCE OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
~ TUSTIN ADDING CHAPTER 8 OF ARTICLE 3 OF THF TUSTIN
CITY CODE RELATIVE TO THE REGULATIONS OF GARAGE SALES

5 The.City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby ordain as follows:
6 Section 1. Article '3, Chapter 8 is hereby added to the Tustin City Code
to read as follows:
Chapter 8. Garaae Sales

Section 3800. DEFINITIONS..

A garage sale is defined as a garage; yard, lawn, patio or
10 similar type sale held anywhere on the premises in any residential zone for
the purpose of disposing of personal property owned by the person or persons
1! conducting the sale.
12 Sectio~ 3801. PROPERTY PERMITTED TO BE SOLD.
15 It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale
any property other than personal property accumulated for personal use by
1~ the person or persons conducting the garage sale.
15 Section 3802. FREQUENCY AND DURATION OF SALE.
16 It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct, cause or-permit
to be conducted, at the same address, more than four (4) garage sales during
1~ any one calendar year, nor may any one garage sale extend beyond two con-
secutive weekends.

Section 3803. ADVERTISING.

Any form of advertisement of a proposed garage sale shall be
for any sign in the public right of way.
Section 3804. INSPECTION
All property offered for sale shall be available for inspection
~5 by any representative of the City of Tustin at the place where the sale is to
be conducted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council, of the City
25 of Tustin, CalifOrnia, on the 21st day of March, 1977.
