ORDINANCE NO. 697
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY WHICH HAS BEEN ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN.
5 The City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
4 does hereby ordain as follows:
~ 1. Th~ City Council finds and determines: --
6 A. That the Planning Commission of the City of Tustii
7 upon its own motion, initiated proceedings for the prezoning from
8 the Orange County R-4 (Suburban Residential), C-1 (Commercial),
9 and 100-C-1-10,000 districts, to the City of Tustin CG (Commercial
~0 General) where the property is located on the southeast corner of
il Newport and Mitchell Avenues (AP. #432-081-01, ~2),'the southeast
1Z corner of Newport and Walnut Avenues developed as the Pantry
15 Shopping Center (AP #432-131-02, 03,'04), and the propert~
14 adjacent and to the south occupied by the Tustin Block Company
15 (14522 Newport Avenue) (AP ~432-131-01).
16 B. That after public hearings duly called, noticed
~7 and heldr the Planning Commission, by Resolution No~ 1475,
18 recommended said prezoning.
19 C. That the proposed prezoning is for the purpose of
20 bringing the zoning classification into conformance with the
21 designation of land use element of the Tustin Area General Plan.
2Z D. That after public hearings duly called, noticed
25 and held, the City Council has determined that said prezoning
24 should be adopted.
25 E. That the proposed prezoning is hereby granted a
26 negative environmental impact determination on the basis of no
27 change in the physical environment.
28 F. That on April 19, 1976 the City Council of the
~9 City of Tustin passed and adopted Ordinance No. 678-A annexing
~0 the aforedescribed property to the City of Tustin.
Hi 2. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Tustin is hereby
52 amended to reclassify by rezoning the property shown on Exhibit
1 "A" from Orange County R-4 (Suburban Residential), C-1 (Commercial),
~ and 100-C-1-10,000 districts to the City of Tustin CG (Commercial
3 General) .
4 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
,_ 5 of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 1st day of November 1976.
