Z AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMEND-
ING PROVISIONS OF THE MECHANICAL CODE AND THE PLUMBING
5 CODE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO PERMIT THE TERMINATION OF
SWIMMING POOL HEATER VENTING SYSTEMS WITHIN FOUR FEET
4 OF PROPERTY LINES.
5 The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, ordains
6 as follows:
V 1, The City Council finds and determines:
8 A) That there. are-.special circumstances and conditions
9 unique to the territory located. within the city limits of
10 the City of Tustin which make the provisions of the Uniform
11 Mechanical Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code, which prohibit
1Z the termination of swimming pool heater venting systems
~3 within four feet of a property line, are inappropriate and
!4 unreasonable.
15 B1) 'l~nat the afOredescribed provisions should be deleted.
16 2. There is hereby added to subparagraph (f) of section 906
17 of the Mechanical Code the following:
18 Provided, however, that swimming pool
19 heater venting systems may terminate
20
within four feet of a property line when
21 adjacent to a masonry wall or fire protected
con s truct ion.
3. There is hereby added to subparagraph (f) of Section 1317
of the Plumbing Code the following:

Provided, however, that swimming pool heater
26 venting systems may terminate within four feet
of a property line when adjacent to a masonry
wall or fire protected construction
1 4. The City Council. finds an~ ~e~ermines that the immediate
Z adoption and effecti..~e~ess of this Ordinance is necessary for the
~ preservatic~n and protection of the public health, welfare .and
4 safety, and this Ordinance shall be effective in~mediately upon --
5 adoption. " '
6 PASSED 'AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council,
~ City of Tustin, California., this 20th day of May 1974.
