HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 616 (1974) ORDINANCE NO. 616 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMEND- ING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE RELATIVE TO TRUCK ROUTES. The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does ordain as ~ollows: \ Section 3413.3 of the Traffic Ordinance of the City of Tustin is hereby amended by. the addition thereto of subdivision (e) thereto to read as follows: (e) As an alternative to the establishment of truck routes and the prohibition of the use of all streets other than truck routes by vehicles exceeding a certain weight limit, City may by ordinance or resolu- tion designate the use of any street or portions thereof to be described in the-ordinance or resolution upon which it shall be prohibited to operate any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of 6,000 pounds, provided. however, that there shall be exempted from the prohibitions herein- above provided the following vehicles: (1) Any passenger stage vehicle certified under Public Utilities Codes Sections 1031 through 1036; (2) Any vehicle owned, operated, controlled or used by public utility in connection with the construc- tion, installation, operation, maintenance or repair of any public utility facility. (3) Any vehicle of licensed contractor while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility; ° (4) Any vehicle coming from an unrestricted street having ingress and egress by direct r6ute to and from the ~estricted street when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares or merchandise from or to any building or 1. I structure located on the restricted street, or for the purpose'~ delivering materials to be used in the "1.J ~ ~ actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodelingl- 4 or construction of any building or structure upon the 5 restricted street for which a building permit has 6 previously been obtained; J- V (5) Any ambulance or hearse; 8 (6) .
