1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE RELATIVE TO PENALTY
Z PROVISIONS AND CONTINUING VIOLATIONS.
3 The City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
4 does ordain as fellows:
5 Section 1-7 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
6 to read as follows:
7 Section 1-7 General Penalty. Continuing Violations.
8 No person shall violate any provision, or fail to
comply with any of the provisions, of this code, or of any code
9 adopted herein by reference. Any person violating any of the
provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory
10 requirements of this code, or of any code adopted by reference
herein, unless othe~ise specified in this code, shall be
11 punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by imprisonment
in the city or county jail for a period of not exceeding six
1~ months, or by both such fine and imprisonment..Each such
person violating such provision or failin9 to comply with such
18 requirements shall be guilty of a separate of!pnse, and each
day during any portion of which any violation of any provision
14 of this code, or of any code adopted by reference herein, is
co~itted, continued, or petitted by such person, shall
15 constitute a separate offense, and shall be ounishabie accord-
ingly. Provided further that each such person violating a
16 provision which limits the time an act may be permitted or
continued, each such period cr portion thereof of which any
!~ violation of such provision is comitted, continued or oermitte~
by such person shall constitute a separate offense, and shall
18 be punishable accordingly.
19 In addition to the penalties hereinabove provided, any
condition caused or permitted to exmst in violation of any
20 of the provisions of this code, or of any code adopted by
reference herein, shall be deemed a public nuisance and may
21 be summarily abated as such by the city, and each day such
condition continues shall be regarded as a new and separate
2Z nuisance and offense.

and duly passed and adopted as an emergency, urgency measure
at a regular meeting held on the ~Sth day of February
1974, by the following vote: -'
