HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 596 (1973) I ORDINANCE NO. 596 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT ' ~ 8 OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY 5 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 197'3-74. 6 The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as follows: 8 Section 1: That it is hereby determined and declared 9 by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of $3,426,147.00 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised 10 in order to carry on the various departments of the City of Tustin for the fiscal year 1973-74. 11 Section 2: That Of said sum of $3,426,147.00 it is lZ anticipated that there will be received, as income from various sources other than through property tax levy, the sum of 18 $2,729,847.00 and that it will be necessary to raise the sum of $696,300.00 by tax levy upon the property within the City of Tustin~ ~-' 15 Section 3: That in addition to said sum, the sum of $93,290.00 is the revenue necessary to be raised to meet the debt 18 service expense of the 1971 Park Bonds and that it will be necessary to raise that sum by separate tax levy upon the 17 property within the City of Tustin. !8 Section 4: That in addition to said sum, the sum of $80,950.00 is the revenue necessary to be raised to meet the deb~ 19 service expense of the Civic Center Bonds and that it will be necessary to raise that sum by separate tax levy upon the 20 property within the City of Tustin. 21 Section 5: Of the amount budgeted for street con- . struction and traffic signals, $575,781.00 will be paid from 22 the Special Gas Tax Funds, and $34,660.00 from the City Beautification Fund. Section 6: Of the amount budgeted for the repair and maintenance of City streets, traffic signals, and traffic signs, $124,500.00 will be paid from Special Gas ITax Funds, $105,000.00 from the Traffic Safety Fund, and $15,000.00 from the City Beautification Fund. Section 7: That the City Council hereby finds and ~ 27 determines that the enactment of this Ordinance as an-emergency urgency measure is required for the preservation of public ~ 2~ health and welf~re~ and this Ordinance shall go into effect ~ immediately upon adoption.
