AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT
OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION
UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO
CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1972-73
The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain
as follows:
Section 1: That it is hereby determined and declared
by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of
$~,788,218.00 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised
in order to carry on the various departments of the City of
Tustin for the fiscal year 1972-73.
Section 2: That of said sum of $3,788,218.00 it is
anticipate~ that there will be received, as income from various
sources other than through property taxilevy, the sum of
$3,152,818.00 and that it will be necessary to raise the sum of
$635,400.00 by tax levy upon the property within the City of
Tustin.
Section 3: That in addition to said sum, the sum of
$91,000 is"the revenue necessary to be raised to meet the debt
service expense of the 1971 Park Bonds and that it will be
necessary to raise that sum by separate tax levy upon the
.property within the City of Tustin.
Section 4: Of the amount budgeted for street con-
struction and traffic signals, $594,934.00 will be paid from
the Special Gas Tax Funds, and $22,200.00 from the City
Beautification Fund.
Section 5: Of the amount budgeted for the repair and
maintenance of City streets, traffic signals, and traffic signs,
$112,650.00 will be paid from Special Gas Tax Funds, $60,000.00
from the Traffic Safety Fund, and $7,086.00 from the City
Beautification Fund..
Section 6: That the City Council hereby finds and
dete~aines that the enactment of this Ordinance as an emergency~
urgency measure is required for the preservation of public
health and welfare, and this'Ordinance shall go into effect
i~diately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 21st day of August, 1972.

certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Tustin is four; that the above and foregoing
Ordinance No. 549 was duly and regularly introduced and
read at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
21st day of AUgust, 1972, and was duly passed and adopted
as an urgency raeasure at a regular meeting held on the
21st day of August , 1972, by the following vote.
