AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, ORDINANCE NO. 157, AS AMENDED, RELATIVE
TO DEFINITION OF DAY NURSERIES, NURSERY SCHOOLS
AND DAY CARE HOMES - CHILDREN.
5 The City of Tustln does ordain as follows.:
6 1. The definitions in Section 11.131 of the Zoning
? Ordinance a~e hereby amended as follows :-
" 8 "Day Nursery,, . a place, institutional in nature,
where seved (?) or more children are left for day-
9 time care.
10 "Nursery Sqhool" - a public or private agency, ln-
11 stitutlonal in nature, engaged in educational
~ activity with six (6) or more Pre-school children.

12 l! 2. To Section 11.131 of the Zoning Ordinance is added
13 ,. the following definition:
14 "Day Care Homes - Children" _ family dwelling unlt,f
15 ~! non-institutional in character, properly licensed
by the Orange County Welfare Department, which
~'~ provides d~y care only, with or without compensation
16 for:
17 a) Not more than five (5) children including the
famllyj!day care mother's own children, when ther
18 age range is infancy through 6; and,
19 b) Not morse than six (6) children when the age rang~
20 is 3 to 16, including the day care mother's own~
children.
21 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
22 Council of the City of Tustin, California, held on the 19th day of July, 1971.
