AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE TO REVISE THE
MEMBERSHIP OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION.
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does
hereby ordain as follows:
1. Section 2-18 of the Tustin City Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section 2-18 Created; Composition; Appointment; Terms of
Members; Vacancies and Removal
There is hereby created a Parks and Recreation
Commission of the City. Such Commission shall consist
of seven (7) members, who shall be appointed by the City
Council for terms oftwo years which shall continue on
their present staggered basis. Vacancies shall be filled
by the City Council for the unexpired portion of the term
of such vacant position. The City Council shall appoint
one member who ls a member of the Board of the Tustin
Union High School District, one member who is a member of
the Board of the Tustin Elementary School District, and
one member who is a student at Tustin High School when such
qualified nominees are available. At all times a majority
of the Tommission shall be residents of the City of Tustin.
Commissioners shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
Provided, however, that until such time as 'a vacancy
occurs the Commission shall have eight (8) members to enable
the City Council to appoint the additional three members herein
above described.
A quorum shall be a majority of the Commissioners who
have been appointed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of Tustin, California, held on the~day of 15th day of June, 1970.
