HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 414 (1968) 1 ORDINANCE NO. 414 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY F OF TUSTIN, FIXING AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT · ~ OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION _ UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF 4 TUSTIN AND THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE SAID 5 CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1968-69. The City Council of the City of Tustin does ordain as \ follows: -8 Section 1: That it is hereby determined and declared by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the sum of 9 $1,053,670.00 is the amount of revenue necessary to be raised in order to carry on the various departments of the City of 10 Tustin for the fiscal year 1968-69. 13. Section 2: That of said sum of $1,053,670.00 it!'is - anticipated that there will be received, as income from various 12 sources other than through property tax levy, the sum of $?60.2?0.00 and that it will be necessary to raise the sum of 15 $29D,400.00 by tax levy upon the property within t~e City of Tustin. Section 3: Of. the amount budgeted to the Police Depart-  15 ment, $91,750.00 will be paid from the State Purpose Tax Fund t for police salaries, vehicle operation, and vehicle maintenance, 16 and $3,000.00 will be paid from the Traffic Safety Fund for crossing guard protection. Section 4: Of the amount budgeted to the Fire Department, 18 $15,000.00 will be paid frQm the State Purpose Tax Fund for fire protection to highway traffic. 19 Sectidn 5: Of the amount budgeted for street construction 20 and traffic signals, $40,000.00 will be paid from the Traffic Safety Fund, $6,000.00 from the State Purpose Tax Fund, and 21 $140,300.00 from the Special Gas Tax Funds. ~ Section 6: Of the amount budgeted for the repair and maintenance of City streets, traffic signals,-and traffic signs, 85 $28,440.00 will' be paid from Special Gas Tax Funds; $3000.00 from the Traffic Safety Fund and $30,000.00 from the Skate ~ Purpose Tax Fund. Section 7: Of the amount budgeted for the maintenance of park facilitfes, $12,000.00 will be paid from the C~ty Beautification Fund. ~'~ ~ Section 8: That the City Council hereby finds'and determines that the enactment of this Ordinance as an' emergency, 28 urgency measure is required for the preservation of public health and ~elfare, and this Ordinance shall go into effect 29 immediately upon adoption. ~0 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City 51 '2- Council, held on the 5th day of August , 1968. 3 MAYOR ATeTEST: 4 5 ~ : 11 RUTH C.
