AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
CHANGING MOTOR SPEED LIMITS ON FIRST STREET
BETWEEN NEWPORT AND RED HILL AVENUES, TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA.
he City Council of the City of Tustin, California,
does ordain as follows:
it is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering
and traffic investigation, that the speed limit permitted by
State law outside of business and residence districts, as applicable
upon the following street, is greater than is reasonable or safe
under the conditions found to exist upon said street, and it is
hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit.shall be as
.herein set forth, on the parts of said street herein designated:
NAME OF STEET AND DECLARD PRIMA
PORTION AFFE~ED FACIE SPEED LIMIT
First Street, from Newport Avenue
easterly, for a distance of 660 feet .' 23 miles per hour
(presently posted st 65 miles per
hour) and thence easterly for an
additional distance of 660 feet,
(presently posted at 35 miles per
hour).
It is found and determined that the preservation of
public health,I safety and welfare requires immediate adoption of
this ordinance as an urgency measure, effective immediately upon
publication.
PASSED AND ADOPTED a~-a regular meeting'of the City
Council of the qityofTustin, Califomia, held on the 20th day of December, 1965.
