HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 290 (1965)ORDINANCE NO. 290 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "REDHILL-VALENCIA ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN: WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August, 1965, the Council of the City of Tustin did pass and adopt Resolution No. 789, giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory t.o the City of Tustin, said territory being therein designated as "REDHILL-VALENCIA ANNI�XATION", said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution contained a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City of Tustin would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being as prescribed by las, and WHEREAS, on the 16th day of August, 1965, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, P.M., in the Tustin Youth Center, in the City of Tustin, County of Orange, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to the said annex- ation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation, and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately -owned territory proposed to be annexed, as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as deter- mined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange; 19-3-4 NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Tustin does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Tustin. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Tustin is hereby approved, is all the territory situate in the County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the existing city boundary of the City of Tustin as established by the Warner -Sycamore Annexation, Ordinance No. 245; to the City of Tustin, said point being fifty (50) feet, measured at right angles from the Southeast line of Lot 66, Block 10, Irvine's Subdivision, as per a map thereof recorded in Book 1, page 88, Miscel- laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said point also being on the Northeast line of the Southwesterly 351.10 feet of said lot 66; Thence, departing from said city boundary, South 400001001, West, along a line parallel parallel to and fifty (50) feet Northwesterly of the Southeast line of said lot 66 and. the Southeast line of lot 79 of said Block 10, a distance of 1,070 feet, more or less, to a point on a line parallel to and 610 feet Northeasterly of the Southwest line of said lot 79'; Thence, North 50009'55" West along last said parallel line, a distance of 607 feet, to --.a point on a line parallel to and 657 feet, Northwesterly of the Southeast line of said lot 79; Thence, South 40000'00" West along last said parallel line, a distance of 610 feet, toga point on the Southwest line of said lot 79, said point also being on said existing city boundary of the City of Tustin, as ner said. Ordinance No. 245; Thence, following along said existing city boundary, North 500009'55" Westi-. a distance of 663 feet, more or less,, to the most Westerly corner of said Lot 79; Thence, continuing along said city boundary, North 40000100" East, a distance of 1,680 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said city boundary; Thence, continuing along said city boundary, South 50010f501' East, a distance of 1,,270 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
