HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 247 (1963) 0RDINANCE N0. 247 AN ORDINANCE 0F THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING PROPERTY FROM THE "U" TO THE C-1 ZONE. The City Council of the Ci6y of Tustin, California, does ordain as follows: .-. Section 1: The City Council finds and determines: A. That Zone change proceedings (No. ZC 63-132) were properly initiated by the City of Tustin for the property described as follows: PARCEL 1. Commencing at the intersection of the c t - W. along the centerline of said Prospect Avenue, a distance of 404.96 feet to a point on the Westerly 'prolongation of the South line of Tract No. 4842 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 178, pages 7 and 8 of Miscell- aneous Maps, tiecords of Orange County California; thence, ! , N. 89 47 00" E. a distance of 672.00 feet along said Westerly prolongation and along the South line of said Tract No. 4842 t8 the Southeast corner of said Tract No. 4842; thence, S 0 16'00" E, along the Southerly prolonga- tion of the ~ast line of said Tract No. 4842, a distance of 405.00 feet, more or to the centerline of said lgs~, -'- First Street; thence, S. 9 45'00" W. along the center- line of First Street, a distance of 6?2.00 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the portions lying within Prospect Avenue and First Street., PAiiCEL 2. Commencing.at the Southwest corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed to W. S. Hoxie as described in a deed recorded in Book 3847, page 570 of Official Records of Orange County, California; thence, N. 00 12' 00" E , along the West line of said Hoxie.property and along the Northerly prolongation thereof, ~ distance of 863 feet, more or less, to a point on a line parallel to and 50.00 feet southerly of as measured at right.angles to the surveyed centerline of Fourth Street; thence, Easterly al'ong said parallel line a distance of 2,260.00 feet more or less, to the centerline of Holt Avenue; thence, continuing along said ?parallel line a distance of 649.55 feet, to'the Northwest line of Irvine's Subdivision as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book i, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence, S 400 38' 45"' W along said Northwest line, ~a distance of 177.50 feet to Easterly Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 5 pa e 160, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County ~alifornia; thence, S. 890 14' 40" W. along said Easterly prolongation and along said North line a distance of 1,390 feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed to Margaret M. Suddaby as described in a deed recorded in Book 659, page 19, Official Records of Orange County, California; thence, S 00 12'00" W. along the West line of said Suddaby property, a distance of 704.25 feet, more or less to the centerline of First Street; thence 0 , S 89 46' 20~W, along the Centerline of ll46 First Street a distance of ~35 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. l EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the portions lying withinFirst Street and Holt Avenue. EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the West 40 feet. B. That the Planning Commission duly called, noticed and r'] held a public hearing on said proposed change,~and recomm- ended change of zone to the C-1 Zone. C. That City Council duly called, noticed and held a public hearing on said proposed zone change. Section 2: The City Council finds and determines that a change of zone of said property to the C-1 zone is in the best interests of the subject property, adjacent uses and adjoining 'properties and is.in harmony with the general plan of the City of Tust~n. Section 7.: ..... The a~oresaid property is hereby changed to t~eC-tlzone and the zoning map.of the City of Tustin is hereby amended acc6rdingly.
