HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 245 (1963) ORDINANCE NO. 245 AN ORDINANCE APPR0VING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS "WARNER-SYCAMORE ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Tustin: WHEREAS, on September 23rd, 1963, the Council of the City of Tustin did pass and adopt ~esolution No. declaring that proceedings had been initiated by the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, to annex to said City certain uninhabited territory described therein and designated as "WARNER_SYCAMORE ANNEXATION" to the City of Tustin, and giving notice of the proposed annexation, andlsaid Resolution des- cribed the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the day, hour and place where and when the Council of the City of Tustin would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory pro- posed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the Boundary CommissiOn of the County of Orange, State of California, did, in session duly assembled, approved the proposed annexation boundaries Of said annexation; and WHEREAS, on November 18, 1963, at the hour of ?:30 P. M., in the Tustin Youth Center, 600 West 6th Street, City of Tustin, County of 0rsnge, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing pro- tests to the said annexation, the City Council did hear and pSss upon al~ protests made to the proposed annexation, and did determine that protests had not been mad& by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately .owned territory proposed to be annex- ed, as shown on the last equalized Assessment ~ool, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly 1138 owned territory proposed to be annexed, as determined by said legislative body, and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Tustin, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Orange; and ~---~ NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby approve the annexation of the ~erritory hereinafter described to the City of Tustin, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be., and the same hereby is annexed to the City of Tustin. That said territory, the annexation of which the City of Tustinhas herein approved, is all that territory situated in the. County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at an angle point in the existing boundary of the South Tustin Avenue Annexation to the City of Tustin as per Ordinance No. 136, said angle point being the intersection of the Northwest line of Lot 63, Block 11, irvine's Subdivision as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1, page 88, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, with a point on a line which is 100 feet Northeast of as measured at right angles to the centerline of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa. Fe Railroad right of way: Thence, N. 400 00'00" E, along said South Tustin Avenue Annexation boundary, a dista.nce of 210 feet, to an;angle point in said boundary, said angle point also being an angle po~nt in the existing boundary of the Pannel Annexation to the City of Tustin as per Ordinance No. 166, said angle point also being a point on the ~orthwest line of said Lot 63: Thence,'N. 40000'00'' E. along said Pannell Annex- ation.boundary, a distance of 295.00 feet, to an angle point in said boundary: Thence departing from the existing boundary of the'City of Tustin,.N. ~0000'00'~E. along said Northwest line of Lot 63, a distance of 725.~? feet, to the most Northerly corner of said Lot 63; 0 · Thence, S. ~9 ~9'23" E. along the Northeast line of said Lot 63, a distance of 330.20 feet, to the most Southerly corner of Tract No. 396~ as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 161, pages 36 and 3?, Miscellaneous Maps, tiecords of Orange County, California; Thence, N. 390 ~9' 33~, along 'the Southeast line of said Tract No. 3965, a distance of 660.17 feet, to the most Easterly corner of said Tract No. 3965, said corner also being of the outhwest one- on the Northeast line 1139 half of Lot 50 of said Block 11; Thence, ~. 50000'56'' E. along said Northeast line of said SouthweSt one-half, a distance of 330 feet, to the center of said Lot 50: Thence s. 390 59' 33" W. along the southeast l~ne of the Westerly one-auarter of said Lot 50, a distance ... of 660 feet, more or less, to the Southwest line of said Lot 50; Thence, S. 490 59' 23" E. along the Southwest line of said Lot 50, a distance of 660 feet, more or less, to the most Southerly corner of said Lot 50, said corner also Being the most Easterly corner of said Lot 63; Thence, S. 40002~59" W. along the Southeast line of 'said.
